• Plato’s Doctrine of Recollection

Human possess innate knowledge and that learning consists of rediscovering or recollecting that knowledge from within. Plato drew a sharp distinction between knowledge, which is certain, and mere true opinion, which is not certain.

• According to Aristotle, all men by nature desire to know. An indication of this is the delight we take in our senses; for even apart from their usefulness they are loved for themselves.
